India has advanced its nuclear expansion agenda by inviting bids for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract valued at over ₹28,000 crore for the Mahi Banswara Atomic Power Project in Rajasthan. Issued by Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam (ASHVINI)—a joint venture between NPCIL and NTPC—the tender covers the comprehensive "Nuclear Island Mega EPC Package" (NIMEP) for units 1 through 4. This project represents a strategic investment in the nation’s clean energy infrastructure and long-term power capacity.
